We’ve done really well this session, please keep up the good work!! Two bills slipped through and now we need to directly address Governor Sisolak’s office for a VETO. Special thanks to Richard Nagel for his summary of the coalition meeting.

SB292 ~ is all about separating candidates by party rather than office. This is a group-think bill which makes it very difficult for the independent voter to be free-thinking and choose candidates based on their skill or views rather than by their party. It may lead to a single party rule which has not proven to be successful in other states. Full text here.
Sample email to the legislature:
Please vote no on SB292. This Bill works against the people's ability to vote for the best candidate, regardless of party. Independent voters will be lost trying to sort through the parties. What about nonpartisan offices like judges, where will they fit in? With straight ticket voting being abolished in sixteen states, why do we want it here?
NO on SB292
AB321 ~ This bill makes everything in AB4 permanent. The list of evil things start with: universal mail-in voting, same day voter registration, no voter ID requirements, and ballot harvesting. It will bring back all the problems we saw in the 2020 election. Do we seriously want to repeat the Biden debacle? Full text here.
Sample email to the legislature:
Please vote no AB321 due to the current state of our voter rolls. It is impossible to verify if a mail-in ballot was cast by the registered voter who received it. Let's clean up the voting rolls first to ensure that only US citizens can vote.
Another sample email:
Please vote no on AB321 as no one should be allowed to fill out a ballot for another. This will make victims out of the most vulnerable in our society and create another form of human trafficking.
NO on AB321
SB452 ~ is SENATOR CANNIZZARO’s bill that makes it a criminal offense for a person with a concealed carry permit to have a firearm in a “covered” location. SB452 also removes the ability to safely lock a firearm in your car before entering a “covered” establishment. SB452 is everything that was amended out of AB286. Full text here.
Sample email to the legislature:
Please vote no on SB452 as it infringes on our Nevada constitutional and second amendment rights. It makes a concealed carry permit useless. SB452 puts more people in danger by not allowing them their right to defend themselves.
NO on SB452
AB126 ~ This is a bill that takes away the right of a political party to nominate their own candidate. It is an attack on the multiple party system and makes Nevada a one-party state. This bill is before the Ways and Means committee at 8AM on Tuesday 5/25/2021. Please make your voice heard. Full text here.
Sample email to the legislature:
AB126 deserves a 'no' vote as it only serves the dominate group or party. This in turn will create a one party system in Nevada.
NO on AB126
AB261 PASSED *yuck ~ It was all about critical race theory. It would be nice if we could win every time. If we don’t get the governor to veto it, we have to fight it at the school board level. BTW, meeting TONIGHT (Tuesday, May 25th) @ 7pm at the Carson City Community Center by Mills Park). Be there with bare naked face if you can!! Full text here.

AB287 PASSED *yuck ~ Removes the word ‘Mother’ and ‘Father’ from the birth certificate and replaces it with ‘Birth Parent.’ This WOKE culture bill should not have passed.

Please call the Governor and ask him to VETO AB287
SB420 ~ This expands Nevada’s state Medicare beyond Obama Care and it gives free health care to illegal aliens. This is expected to cost Nevada in excess of 40 million in the first year alone. We cannot afford SB420. Full text here.
Sample email to the legislature:
With a projected cost of 40 million in its first year, SB420 takes Nevada where it cannot afford to go. Please vote no on this fiscally irresponsible bill.
NO on SB420
SB258 ~ Gives special rights to transgender prison inmates. This is WOKE culture in prisons. An excerpt: “Use respectful language and currently accepted terminology that accounts for and protects the rights of offenders who are transgender, gender non-conforming, gender non-binary and intersex; and prohibit discrimination against offenders who are transgender, gender non-conforming, gender non-binary and intersex.” Full text here.
NO on SB258
AB376 ~ The so-called “keep Nevada working act”… This is yet an another example of legislative trickery that makes Nevada a sanctuary state for illegal aliens. It gives benefits to illegal aliens that mere citizens don’t get, such as $500,000 in free legal services. Never mind that 62% of households headed by illegal immigrants used one or more of the available welfare programs. The bill also requires the Attorney General to “publish model policies” which “limit…the engagement of state or local law enforcement agencies with federal immigration authorities for the purpose of immigration enforcement.” How is this keeping Nevada working? Full text here.
Sample email to the legislature:
Please vote no on AB376 as this bill does nothing to keep the citizens of Nevada working, but rather turns our state into a sanctuary state for illegal aliens.
