SB292 ~ This bill, sponsored by [email protected] has an unfunded mandate. It changes the ballot format from offices to party. It requires voting machines to be set up so people can vote straight party tickets. Does the party in power move the other party to the far end of the ballot? It gives the governor more power when appointing vacant offices. This is not a good bill. Full text here.

AB195 ~ Gives special rights to English learners. This bill is another unfunded mandate to pass illegal aliens to the front of the line. Full text here.
NO on AB195
AB213 ~ Gives non citizens the right to apply for scholarships. This is another enticement for people to come across our borders illegally, when we can’t even take care of our own homeless. Sponsored by: [email protected] , [email protected] , Selena.Tor[email protected] and cosponsored by [email protected] Full text here.
Please ask for a NO vote on AB213
AB99 ~ Goes in goes into committee Tuesday the 6th at 9am and needs to be killed. It was a republican bill that was hijacked and perverted by the Democrats. It is a prevailing wage bill. AB99 now inflates wages 64% over standing union wages. This bill will drive the cost of public projects beyond our ability to pay for them. Sponsored by: Well hard to say as the republicans are pulling their names off it Full text here.
NO on AB99
AB332 ~ This is a Tax/Fee on landlords making them register with the state. This is an attack on renters, which will drive up rents on all rentals. Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB332
SB395 ~ This is an abdication of power by the state in allowing rural counties to raise property taxes for school funding. Sounds good for White Pines, but it allows all rural counties to raise taxes so that they can sell bonds on the projected revenue. This will raise taxes 25 cents on the hundred dollars of assessed property value. This could hurt seniors on a fixed income. Basically adds a thousand dollars on to the taxes of a $400,000 house. Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB395
SB267 ~ Calls for collection of information on diversity and equality in the workplace. Brings back affirmative action quotas instead of a merit based system. Also allows ‘woke’ culture to cancel any business and as the fees involved will only be passed on to you, the tax payer. Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.
NO on SB267
AB380 ~ is a ban on natural gas appliances in the name of eliminating green house gasses. Your water heater, furnace & stove will all have to be electric. This is California on steroids. Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB380
AB432 ~ Automatic voter registration expansion. This gives the state power to expand voter registration to any or all state agencies for voter registration. The problem is that driver ID cards by design have the same number system as drivers licenses. This opens up the system to non citizen voting in our elections more so than in 2020. AB376 ~ entitled, “The Keep Nevada Working Act”. AB376 prohibits local and state law enforcement from working with ICE. This is a sanctuary state bill on steroids. UPDATE: AB376 passed Committee! Horrible Sanctuary State for Illegal Aliens The hearing was held on AB376 this morning. Law enforcement, including the Las Vegas Metro Police, the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association and the Washoe County Sheriff testified against AB376 saying, by tying the hands of law enforcement, that our communities would be less safe. They expressed concerned that even in the case of terrorists law enforcement would be unable to communicate with Federal Law Enforcement harming public safety. Law enforcement raised significant concerns and clearly opposed AB376 confirming our concerns about AB376 creating a Sanctuary State for Illegal Aliens in Nevada. There were 15 people who testified in opposition to AB376 taking the 30 minutes allotted. The Committee then voted (with no consideration of law enforcement’s concerns) and passed AB376 out of the committee on a party line vote of 8 to 5.

SB300 ~ This is yet another sanctuary state bill. It prohibits public utilities from disclosing information about illegal immigrants to law enforcement. Creates the office of NEW IMMIGRANTS. Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.

AB354 ~ Authorizes the creation of water banks. Requires persons to deposit their water rights in the water bank. Water banks will be monitored by the state engineer. This looks like a STATE water grab of private property and something to be very concerned about. AB387 ~ Creates a regulatory body to oversee and regulate midwives. Midwives are against this bill as it over-regulates and creates prison terms for those that do not comply. There is another bill coming that would be favored by the midwives. Sponsored by: [email protected] , [email protected] , [email protected] , Shondra.Summers[email protected] , [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB387
SJR7 ~ This looks like a bipartisan bill that would put checks and balances on the board of regents of our state colleges by the legislature. In the age of ‘woke’ culture and the state of our legislature, it may be better to dump the regents at the ballot box instead of this bill. Please think about this bill. When the time comes research the candidates for regents in the next election and vote your conscience. Sponsored by: Marily[email protected] , [email protected] Full text here.
AB441 ~ This bill allows for use of campaign funds for personal use. Expenses cited were: travel to and from Carson City and Housing in Carson for the legislative session. Sounds good on the surface. If Campaign funds were donated solely for Campaigning and in that spirit, it should be reserved for that purpose. Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB441
AB146 ~ This is a water pollution bill with very vague language. The question is, if a farmer had run off from his crops with some fertilizer in it, would the fertilizer in the runoff be considered a pollutant and if so would that farmer be liable for the cleanup? Same goes for washing your car. Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB146
AB266 ~ Mandates teacher to student ratio with a lot of exceptions. Kindergarten would be a 16 to 1 ratio. The maximum in California is 25 students to one teacher and the average in the US is 20 to 1 (according to the Education Commission). This sounds like a boondoggle. The average teacher’s salary in Nevada is $60,449.00 and New Mexico beat us for last place county as far as education. There is grant money available to reduce class size. Why have an unfunded mandated class size at the state level when it is the local school board’s job to determine class size? Sponsored by: Br[email protected] and [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB266
AB353 ~ Revises provisions governing sexual misconduct. Contains an unfunded mandate. School boards must develop a policy against sexual harassment, create a victims’ advocate. This violates parental and student rights in regards to an invasive sexual survey. There are laws in place that provide these protections already. This is another expansion of government and intrusion into our private lives. Sponsored by: [email protected] and [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB353
AB351 ~ Governs provisions for dispensing end-of-life drugs. This is an assisted suicide bill. It creates a climate where insurance companies may not pay for life saving or prolonging drugs when suicide is much cheaper. This is a dark rabbit hole that is best avoided. Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.
NO on AB3521
SB105 ~ This is a lot like AB351 as an assisted suicide bill. This one looks like a self-serve one where the doctor just prescribes the drugs and you’re on your own. My worry is if the drugs fall into the wrong hands. What happens then? Sponsored by: [email protected] Full text here.
